The Bridge Division

Damodar has completed many challenging bridges in difficult to reach areas. The team has successfully completed a variety of different kinds of bridges, including long span motorable bridges, suspension bridges, arch bridges and open truss bridges both for road and rail applications. While some of these were executed in India, many were also constructed in foreign lands.

Damodar’s stringent safety and quality standards, experienced team of professionals and equipment are Damodar inherent strengths which percolated into this division too.


A RAILWAY BRIDGE IN DOOM DOOMA

It is an open web through type bridge with a span of 2m x 45.7m. It was built for N. F. Railway, Maligaon, and Guwahati. It has been successfully completed in November, 2001.

A RAILWAY BRIDGES NEAR HASIMARA, ASSAM

Built over the Rivers “Kalchini” and “Holong” near Hasimara for, N. F. Railway, Mailgaon, Guwahati completed in December 2003. These were open web through type and plate girders bridges with a span of 3m x 30.5m and 2 x 18.3m respectively.

SUSPENSION BRIDGE IN ARUNACHAL PRADESH

Built over the River Lohit to connect Chequenty with Hawai in Arunachal Pradesh for the Public Works Department of Arunachal Pradesh. It is a cable suspension bridge with semi through truss and has a span of (156+ 3) m x 17 m. It was completed in January, 2002.

ARCH BRIDGE OVER RIVER DIBANG IN ARUNACHAL PRADESH

An Open Web Type Steel Arch Bridge, over River Dibang was completed in March 2010 for the Public Works Department, Anini Division, Arunachal Pradesh. It has a span of 135 meters and was made on s a turnkey basis from design, fabrication, erection to load testing and commissioning.

BRIDGES IN BHUTAN

2 Bridges were built on the Power House Road, Gedu, Bhutan. These were completed in January, 2002.

BRIDGE OVER RIVER SIANG IN AP

It was built over the River Siang at NUBO in Arunachal Pradesh for the Yingkiang Division of APPWD. It was completed in December, 1994.

BRIDGE OVER RIVER SIYOM IN AP

The bridge over River Siyom at Patum near Along in Arunachal Pradesh was completed in January 1997. It is 146 meters long cable suspension bridge.

BRIDGE OVER BUG NALLAH IN MIZORAM

The bridge over Bug Nallah in Mizoram was completed in April 2001.

BRIDGE IN BHUTAN

The bridge on Pasaka – Malbase Road, Gedu, Bhutan was constructed for the Tala Hydro- Electric Project Authority. It was completed in November 2003.

10 BRIDGES IN BHUTAN

10 bridges were constructed on Geduchu and Power House Roads, Gedu, Bhutan for the Tala Hydro-Electric Project Authority. It was completed in June 2005.
